Scholarship Program

Empowering Future Leaders

What is the Scholarship Program?

While sponsorship fully funds education for children through their high school years, our Scholarship Program provides opportunities for higher education through trade school or college.

Scholarships in Action

Sponsored as a child through Align, Millie is our Sponsorship Coordinator. Through generous donations she was granted a scholarship, graduated from college, and now uses her time and talents to care for the children in our Sponsorship Program. Find out more about Millie by watching her story!
We offer two types of scholarships with countless opportunities for growth.

Student Scholarships

This scholarship is designed for children in our Sponsorship Program who are graduating from high school and plan to continue their education at a trade school or college. Students must apply and meet specific requirements including steady academic effort, active community involvement, and strong character.

Adult Scholarships

Adults seeking training in a specific trade or training program can apply for a scholarship to cover the cost of tuition and materials. Applicants must be active community members, showing strong character and a desire for growth.
Align currently operates a single training program with the hope of establishing more programs that will serve the community and promote self-sustainability.

Seamstress Training Program

Hope4Women, Bombo Pentecostal Church, and Bay Cities Community Church in Lomita, CA partnered together to launch a 9-month training program in Uganda. Under the leadership of instructor, Jimmy Otin, women and men who receive a scholarship to participate in this program learn professional sewing skills that will equip them for future jobs as seamstresses and tailors.
